What is it?
At NMFAF, we believe strong families are built in strong communities. Our Cultivating Community initiative is designed to bring people together—through events, resources, and partnerships—that encourage connection, support, and shared values. From the Family Fun Festival to local workshops and church engagement, we’re creating spaces where families can thrive, neighbors can support one another, and biblical citizenship can take root in everyday life. Together, we’re building a stronger New Mexico—one community at a time.
Family Fun Festivals
The Family Fun Festival is more than a day of games, food, and backpacks—it’s about cultivating community across New Mexico. Each year, families, churches, and organizations come together to celebrate life, strengthen family connections, and discover local resources that make a difference.
In 2026, we saw this vision come alive with over 1000 attendees, more than 35 community organizations represented, 500 free meals, and 600 backpacks filled with school supplies given to kids in need. The festival was a beautiful display of neighbors supporting neighbors and families finding encouragement in a fun, faith-filled environment.
Our goal is simple: to remind New Mexico families that they are not alone and to create spaces where connection, support, and joy can flourish. The Family Fun Festival is one way we’re building a stronger community together.

Our Family Resources page is part of NMFAM’s Cultivating Community initiative, created to connect families with the support they need to thrive.
From housing assistance and medical care, to pregnancy centers, childcare, adoption support, and food programs, these resources are here to help families find real solutions in times of need.
By linking families to aid and trusted community partners, we’re cultivating community across New Mexico—ensuring no family has to walk alone.

The Family Table Podcast
The Family Table Podcast is one more way NMFAF is cultivating community across New Mexico. Around the table, real conversations happen—about faith, family, culture, and the issues that shape our lives. Each episode brings together voices from our state to encourage families, equip parents, and strengthen connections between home, church, and community. Pull up a chair and join the conversation—because thriving families help create thriving communities.
